Our new platinum electrolytes are the key to a perfect layer and a brilliant result. Because unlike conventional electrolytes, which often have a yellow tint, our platinum electrolytes are flawlessly white and ensure a perfect appearance.

Not only are our platinum coatings more visually appealing, the electrolytes are also easier to handle and more gentle on the coated material. The current-independent deposition speed enables a uniform coating thickness distribution, which leads to a higher quality of the coating.

In order to perfectly meet your needs in each case, we offer three different electrolytes with different focus.

PLATUNA® PT

The strongly acidic platinum electrolyte PLATUNA® PT is used to deposit plain, crack-free platinum coatings up to a layer thickness of 5 μm. Therefore, these are ideally suited not only for decorative applications such as jewelry, but also for medical technology and electrolysers.

PLATUNA® Alloy RH

With the strongly acidic alloy electrolyte PLATUNA®-Alloy RH (80 % Pt, 20 % Rh), plain, bright and crack-free platinum-rhodium coatings can be deposited up to a layer thickness of 0.5 μm.

The electrolyte is a cost-effective alternative to pure rhodium with almost the same color.

PLATUNA® Alloy RU

The strongly acidic alloy electrolyte PLATUNA®-Alloy RU (80 % Pt, 20 % Ru) can be used to deposit plain, bright and crack-free platinum-ruthenium coatings down to a layer thickness of 0.5 μm.

The electrolyte is a cost-effective alternative to pure platinum with high hardness. This is because ruthenium is still the cheapest metal among the platinum group metals.
