Supply chains certified according to CoC standard
In everything we do, we attach great importance to acting ethically and sustainably - this has always applied to the mining, trading, handling and export of precious metals. The protection of human rights as well as an environmentally friendly approach is particularly important to us. We consciously put our economic interests at the back of the queue in case of disregard.
Responsible ethical, human rights, social and environmental practices throughout the supply chain
Last year, we decided to have our self-imposed behavior with regard to a conflict-free supply chain audited by an external party. The aim was to confirm the trust placed in us by our partners and stakeholders and to identify any weaknesses. As a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), we have submitted to the strict requirements of the organization's Chain of Custody (CoC) standard.
As of this month, RJC has confirmed our due diligence with regard to the supply chain for gold and platinum group metals and issued us the coveted certificate for us.
The certification enables us to offer our customers precious metal-containing products for responsible coating with conflict-free precious metals.
At this point, we encourage all our stakeholders to raise concerns about our supply chain or doubts about traceability. Please feel free to contact our Head of EHS/QM Harald Ziller directly.
With these measures we have also sustainably secured our business process in this respect in line with our Umicore Way. More about our Way, which describes how we want to achieve our goals, can be found in the Responsibility section.
