Outstanding sustainability commitment confirmed

The commitment to sustainability at all levels is firmly anchored in our Umicore Way and is therefore evident in every action we take. Our commercial success is based not only on providing high quality solutions but also on being a preferred supplier to our customers in terms of sustainability. In order to confirm the trust placed in us by our partners and stakeholders and, if necessary, to uncover any weaknesses, we have had ourselves externally audited since 2013.

EcoVadis evaluates companies in four areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR): environment, labor and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurement.

For the second year in a row, we were awarded the Platinum Medal for Corporate Social Responsibility by EcoVadis. This puts us among the top 1% of our industry peers in the global EcoVadis network of over 90,000 assessed companies.

In the overall rating, we were again able to improve compared to last year. This is mainly due to our increased focus on conflict-free supply chains and thus sustainable procurement.

The EcoVadis scorecard demonstrates our commitment to meeting our corporate social responsibility and to continuously improving in all areas.

The partnership and constant interaction with our customers will continue to be the basis for responsible development, production and reprocessing of (precious) metal-related materials. Thus, our good result is also due to the good and open relationship with our customers and their demands on us. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks for this.
