JGF in Freiburg: Umicore Electroplating shines with rose gold and black rhodium
Rose gold and black are the trend colours of current watch and jewellery collections. Responding to this trend Umicore Electroplating will present at the Jewellery & Gem Fair Europe innovative high-tech electrolytes in Hall 4 at booth F 02. The fair takes place from March 19 to 22 March 2016 in Freiburg.
Rose gold: Market leaders
count on Umicore Electroplating
"Worldwide the key players trust in our rose gold electrolytes for jewellery production of their current collections," says Martin Stegmaier, head of decorative precious metals at Umicore Electroplating. For more than fifteen years, the company offers rose gold products. The new AURUNA® 502 is the successor to the proven AURUNA® 500. The electrolyte is 18-carat and saves gold. The surfaces feature good corrosion and tarnish protection. Surface finishes up to 10 micrometers can be deposited.
In addition, Umicore Electroplating introduces a black rhodium electrolyte. It offers high hardness (750-800 HV). The electrolyte is in all cases superior where black ruthenium cannot fulfill the necessary abrasion requirements. The layers are crack-free even at a higher layer thickness. The blackening degree of the surface can be adjusted.
Electroforming,
tarnish protection and white rhodium
Umicore Electroplating is one of the global innovation and technology leaders in plating. Besides rose gold and black rhodium, the company offers many other innovative and proven solutions. These include electroforming products, but also the brilliant white rhodium electrolyte RHODUNA® Diamond Bright or the innovative tarnish protection solution Umicore Antitarnish 616 PLUS.
