Umicore once again awarded strong EcoVadis rating

Umicore has once again been honored by EcoVadis for its sustainability performance this year and will receive a silver medal in 2025. This means that the company continues to rank among the top 15% of all approximately 130,000 companies assessed worldwide - despite stricter rating criteria and an adjusted methodology by EcoVadis.

Particularly noteworthy is the Environment category, in which Umicore once again achieved its highest rating. The company's ongoing work on emissions reduction, resource efficiency, and environmental management is paying off and reflects its leading role in sustainable technologies.

Despite the new, more demanding rating logic, Umicore achieved slight improvements in the areas of Labor & Human Rights and Sustainable Procurement. This development is particularly remarkable given that EcoVadis has tightened the requirements in these areas for 2025, including new indicators on anti-discrimination, stakeholder dialogue, and sustainable sourcing of raw materials.
In the area of Ethics, Umicore was able to maintain its score, which is a positive sign given the increased requirements for transparency, compliance, and governance.

The renewed silver medal award confirms Umicore's consistent commitment to sustainability throughout the entire value chain. The slight improvements in several areas and the stable performance despite stricter criteria show that Umicore is on the right track and remains a reliable partner for responsible future technologies.
